Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion Book

Spiritual Writings of David Spero
$15.00

Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion is a compilation of David's poetry, essays, aphorisms and discourses. It is also a confession of his ecstatic spiritual realization and a potent vehicle of his living transmission.

In the Introduction to David's book, the Reverend Thomas Ahlburn writes: ". . . I think David's views are as brilliantly insightful as any that one is likely to encounter among living spiritual writers, including those of Ram Dass, Andrew Harvey, Ken Wilber, Bernadette Roberts, and the great spiritual genius Adi Da Samraj."

David's book will be sent to you in sincere appreciation for your donation in support of his teaching.

Quotes

  • "Shakti is like a magnet to restful silence. Shakti will emerge out of empty Shiva, quiet Shiva, relaxed Shiva. So what we're looking for is the marriage of Shiva and Shakti. We want to feel how they interpenetrate, we want to feel our own Being making love to Itself, which is the highest form of Tantra. It is what all Tantra points to: the inner alchemical transformation whereby the Energy within your own Being makes love to Itself."

Mystery and Miracle in Every Day Life: post intensive

Tom's picture

I listened to David on Saturday and it just made easy sense, like talkng to a friend over coffee.
I was reading the Tao te Ching last week and it was like reading the newspaper- simple, absolutely clear and evident.

Mystery- a feature of Everyday life.

My Wife greeted me with joy when I returned from the Intensive- happy that I went, happy that I returned, grateful that I am happy and changing while sitting with David and you all.

Miracle-a feature of everyday life.

"In Tao the only motion is returning;
The only useful quality, weakness.
For though all creatures under heaven are the products of Being,
Being itself is the product of Not-being. "
