Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion Book

Spiritual Writings of David Spero
$15.00

Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion is a compilation of David's poetry, essays, aphorisms and discourses. It is also a confession of his ecstatic spiritual realization and a potent vehicle of his living transmission.

In the Introduction to David's book, the Reverend Thomas Ahlburn writes: ". . . I think David's views are as brilliantly insightful as any that one is likely to encounter among living spiritual writers, including those of Ram Dass, Andrew Harvey, Ken Wilber, Bernadette Roberts, and the great spiritual genius Adi Da Samraj."

David's book will be sent to you in sincere appreciation for your donation in support of his teaching.

Quotes

  • "So nor does Realization come and stay put; you know, poised and perfect like a model in a fake photograph, smiling forever. It’s a very organic thing."

The Core of David's Teaching

Tonight, during David's Internet Meditation, a viewer asked David to describe the core of his teaching. To me, the question was so broad and massive that I really wasn't sure how David was going to answer. How does one sum up an entire teaching? My mind flickered w/ possible answers. "The core of my teaching is that realization is a gift," David said. Wow. My heart connected instantly.

Bliss of David & Understanding "That"

I wanted to post this exchange between David and I a few days ago. I never gave much thought to "That." It was, I believed, too abstract, too far away. But, interestingly, after David asked me to ponder this, I realized that I may have a better understanding of That than I previously thought. To me, That is love, bliss, shakti and light -- all of the qualities of God or the Guru.
