Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion Book

Spiritual Writings of David Spero
$15.00

Beyond the Place of Laughter and Tears in the Land of Devotion is a compilation of David's poetry, essays, aphorisms and discourses. It is also a confession of his ecstatic spiritual realization and a potent vehicle of his living transmission.

In the Introduction to David's book, the Reverend Thomas Ahlburn writes: ". . . I think David's views are as brilliantly insightful as any that one is likely to encounter among living spiritual writers, including those of Ram Dass, Andrew Harvey, Ken Wilber, Bernadette Roberts, and the great spiritual genius Adi Da Samraj."

David's book will be sent to you in sincere appreciation for your donation in support of his teaching.

Quotes

  • Existence itself is Love, Existence itself is thoughtless Samadhi, Existence itself is the movement of Shakti, or Energy. For me these are all eternally emanating, all eternally radiating out of That, which I Am. So, for me this movement of Sahaja Samadhi is a multifaceted, and multidimensional consideration; it's not simply quietude, it is not something that is confined to some kind of experience. In fact, it has nothing to do with anything I experience. I could come out as an angry maniac, and still be radiating the full force of God. It has no connection at all with human individuality. That's my Realization.

innocence and non-duality - spiritual conclusions are not necessary - efforts to create and know

David gave Wednesday satsang. I had been having spinal kundalini experiences in satsang that seemed to contain the force of galaxies forming and exploding. But David said: "that's something you read in a book somewhere. Kundalini works in waves of bliss here."

I learned:

it's your attention; David is much more adored on other planets

This Wednesday's meditation session was quite interesting. It's always hard for me to wake up at 10pm EST for the 7pm PST session, but I'm glad I did.

"no rules on this end" - relax and receive

I was having semi-painful blockages in my spine and asked David how to alleviate them. His answer was: "be with me" and later he said "...just relax and receive"

Thank god for the unspoken transmission

I had a powerful Kundalini experience with last night's webcast. But the funny thing was, after the webcast, everything that David _said_ about what was proper for this path was in exact contradiction to what I knew personally and what he has said at other times. And at other times, he will contradict himself in the next sentence. E.g: "you should be feeling something subtle" ...

who needs a live webcast?

I was pretty upset. I had prepared all day to attend the webcast and no link was showing up on the site even though I was logged in and re-logged in.

I decided to just listen to one of the pre-recorded videos instead.

Almost immediately, I felt "flames" warming up my entire body (not just the spine).

I cant recall the entire experience, but eventually I decided to go to sleep.
