I believe that everyone would greatly benefit from reading David's article entitled "On Meditation" on www.davidspero.org. It is the third one listed in the writings section, and provides an elegant and concise framework of the meditation practice. I would recommend reading it till it becomes second nature, as it has the potency of a yogic sutra. There is no esoteric terminology to master, and it's very brief. It will make these gatherings exponentially more powerful and readily accessible.
